Google + Start Breaking Down Language Barriers

Google+ translation

Google has announced they will implement a translation function into Google+ posts, allowing you to easily translate those which aren’t in your native tongue.

The same functionality was available via a Chrome extension, but will now be part of the social media service itself.
Googler Ed Chi announced the update via a (where else?) Google+ post, along with the above picture, highlighting the change.

 From his post:
The Google Translate team is always working to make information more accessible to individuals around the world. In Google+ this means bringing people together regardless of their written language, and breaking down language barriers that can limit the exchange of ideas.
Ed Chi
This is another change it what seems to be a rapid-fire acceleration of the Google+ service.

After announcing 41 changes at I/O, the Google+ team went on to revamp the Android app a few times.

This was all congruent to the overhaul for photos, bringing a bevy of changes like autoawesome and the touching up of pictures.

The translation function will be rolling out incrementally, so look for it in your stream.

*Have you had the chance to use it yet?

Add a Supercharger to Your Tweeting With 7 (Must-Have) Twitter Tools

twitter-tools
Twitter needs no formal introduction since the world already knows its prominence and potential.
What developed as a single-platform allowing users to type a micro-message (140-characters) and send simultaneously to hundreds of thousands of friends, has now evolved into a more streamline broadcasting channel.
It has even empowered the general populace to get in touch with their favourite celebrities, brands or idols without a formal appointment.
Nonetheless, twitter has also given a golden opportunity (more like a platform) to businesses allowing them to enhance their marketing endeavours and stack their sales and revenue.
However, it is not easy for savvy marketers to bring the best potential out of their tweets, unless they have the right tools.
Today, we are presenting you some of the most creative Twitter tools that’ll help you supercharge your tweets and make your twitter marketing more productive than ever.

1.    Bit.ly
bitly
Who doesn't know bit.ly – unless you are not a savvy twitterer? Basically, Bit.ly commenced its service as a URL shortener, i.e, allowing the user to shorten their URL and save more character space for effective tweeting.
However, in the recent years it has enhanced its dashboard to a greater extent providing more features to general users and marketers alike.
Now, with bit.ly you can also track the page views, clicks and engagements of your URL.
Moreover, you can also create your own, custom URL for effective brand exposure.
2.    Manage Flitter
manage-flitter
Enjoying over 1.6 Million users – still counting, Manage Flitter is a great tool that can help you monitor your tweets and your account more efficiently.
With this innovative service, you can easily keep tabs on both your followers and followings, with a single-tap.
In addition to that you can also monitor or un-follow users who are flooding your stream with spammy tweets.
You can now even link your Google+ account to your Twitter.
3.    Hoot Suite
Hoot-suite
Ah! HootSuite… Recently I've written a post on social media management tools, where I've already discussed the importance and brilliance of HootSuite.
However, I don’t mind doing it again – since it’s worth it.
Hootsuite  offers you an advance dashboard to manage all your social media accounts along with twitter. The best part about this tool is that it also provides you with a collaboration feature so that you can work on your social media marketing strategies with your partners or associates.
4.    Buffer
buffer
If you are too busy to keep your twitter account updated with latest tweets, then buffer is the best service for you.
Many at times, we stumble upon lots of interesting news and material that we want to share it with our followers.
However, we can’t do that due to the fear of spam or flooding.
Here, you can use the buffer tool to schedule your posts so that your twitter page is automatically updated throughout the day.
5.    Twitter Feed
twitterfeed
Twitterfeed is another highly-popular tool used by some of the prominent twitterers out there.
The tool allows you to share your RSS feed and automatically post it to your Twitter and other social media accounts like FB, G+ page, etc..
6.    Twitonomy
twitonomy
It is a great service that empowers you to dive into five months worth of twitter data which includes retweets, followers, etc.
The tool offers a rich dashboard where you can manage your tweets and other necessary nitty-gritty details with ease and efficiency.
Moreover, you can also track user engagement to see which content is more viral among your followers.
7.    Tweet Deck
tweet-deck

Owned by Twitter itself, Tweetdeck is a powerful tool that gives the ability to get more insight into your tweeting endeavours and keep tabs on page views and user engagement.
It is pretty nifty tool to get you started with managing not only your twitter account but other social media pages as well.
Experts suggest that tweetdeck is a must-have tool for purely savvy-users.

How To Generate Leads Online

How To Generate Leads Online

One of the most difficult parts of building a network marketing or MLM business is lead generation and you should be mindful of that before you start.

The bulk of online marketers fail at this facet of their business, but if you’re not prepared to learn how to generate leads online effectively and efficiently, you may also join the large listing of failures.

You have to start with a significant “how to generate leads online” strategy and have certain systems in place before you even start.
Regardless of whether you start by cold calling, you’re going to need a basic way of tracking all the calls you have made, when you made the call, a mail address if you got one and the prospect’s response.

Bits of paper just will not cut it.
Regardless of whether you only come away from an cold call with a name and an email address – that sure is a excellent start.

An email list is the best way to start building a list of prospects.

Be very targeted on who you contact.

It may sound silly, but if you’re talking to the incorrect people and attempting to promote a product that’s completely no use to them you’re wasting everybody’s time.
That time equals money, and if you spend a day cold calling all of the wrong people it should be an expensive and fruitless exercise.
Come up with a marketing message, but only once you’ve learned everything you probably can about the product you are promoting.
Nobody wants to hear a lot of fluff, people are in a hurry nowadays.

If the conversation goes well, and there’s a question you can’t answer, be truthful about it and call back with the answer later on.
People respect truth.

And one of the best strategies learn how to generate leads online is to simply “keep it real” and overboard hype down low.

It is easy to brand yourself and your product on the Web but you need to get out there.

Off-line there are some cheap techniques of making yourself identifiable too.
You might become a member of an organization or a club where people in related businesses gather.
Online you’ll find the same sort of places where people gather – social media sites like Facebook.

This is a great spot to generate leads online.

In Facebook there are thousands of Groups, join some Groups related to your product or business, learn what the group’s members are talking about and what problems they might be having and help.
Don’t join a Group and start pitching your product right away, show people that you’re an expert and it won’t be long before they start asking you what you do.

Don’t give anyone the indication that you are desperate to make a sale.

When you make a sale – ask for a referral! You have formed a relationship with your customer and your have solved his problem, so don’t be embarrassed or feel clumsy asking if he knows anybody else you can help .
Recommendation by friends referrals are the very best.
Make it helpful ; try and make it original and not worded in a way that it’s clear you need to make a sale. Simply excite people’s interest and include in the short email a closing line that includes a call to action like “if you’d like to find out more about” you know that subscriber is qualified if he does click your link.
Creating leads online truly doesn’t need to be difficult; all you need is the right system to follow.

6 Tips for Writing An Engaging Blog

This is great! Wondering why no one is commenting on your blog??? These are awesome tips for getting people to comment and interact with you on your blog!!! MUST READ for bloggers!!!!
1. Ask questions –

I’m much more likely to comment on a post if I see that the writer has invited it.

By “ask questions” I mean more than just: “hey I love comments, please leave a comment!”.

I’m looking for discussion questions, I’m looking for bloggers who want my input and don’t feel like they already know everything.

Invite your readers to engage with you on your topic.

2. Write with your readers in mind –

Your readers want to feel like you are writing to them, not just venting your own thoughts and frustrations looking for affirmation.

Share your thoughts and your stories, but as you share, think about how it applies to your reader and what you want them to get from your posting.

Being focused on the reader as you write is one of the best ways to write in a way that engages them and makes them want to comment on your writing.

3. Invite a dialogue, don’t just ask for their stories –

I know I just wrote all about asking questions of your readers, but sticking a random question at the bottom of you post is not enough.

It’s easy to tell your story and then as a “question” (see #1) at the end to just say “has anything like this ever happend to you? tell me your story.” And while that does invite the reader to comment, (good job!)  it doesn’t invite them to engage in a dialogue with you.

Ask if they have ever felt what you were feeling, ask them if they think you are crazy for how your reacted to certain things, ask what they would have done or seek out their advice.

Dig in to the heart of the post and then find creative ways to ask them to share their hearts with you as well.

4. Interact with your readers via social media –

I have found that most of my top commenters are people that I’m often interacting with on this blog’s facebook page or twitter.

I truly want to get to know my readers and encourage them in their day to day life.

I am able to do that somewhat through blogging but even more so through our interactions via social media.

5. Don’t Write “down” to your readers –

One thing that I absolutely can’t stand, is if I’m reading a blog and I feel like the writer is “talking down” to me in her writing.

You can tell, even through blogging, if a person believes s/he is smarter, cooler or funnier than her audience, just don’t do it!

6. Be you –

Be real and authentic, don’t try to sound so polished and professional that you lose your own voice and personality.

I’ve read posts that sound more like they belong in a text book than on a personal blog.

I’m not saying you have to dumb down the way you write, just don’t use language that you wouldn’t use in normal conversation.

Let the readers see who you are through your writing!

What about you? What makes you want to comment on a blog? Is there anything that discourages you from commenting?

100 Sites To Submit Guest Posts

All of the guidance and hype around blogging for the last several months has focused on Guest Posting and how it can be used to drive a high traffic blog.

Guest posting helps with referral traffic as well as search engine optimization due to the links back to your site from the blog where your guest post is hosted.

The biggest mistake that is being made is that everyone thinks they are going to get their post on one of the A-list sites, therefore a lot of time and effort is wasted as these sites turn down over 90% of guest post submission request.

Must bloggers that do not have a high traffic site and something they can reciprocate to the A-list site should find other sites closer in size to their own as guest post targets.

This will help each site grow together and has a higher likelihood of being accepted than just submitting to the top sites.

I have compiled a quick list of sites that would be good targets for guest posts.
These sites are in a variety of categories and vary in size, but all have setup a page on their site for guest posting submissions which means they are open to it which a huge time saver in itself.
You can also find sites to submit to using the guest blogging community.
If you have any additional sites that are good for guest posting, please share them in the comments.
If 100 is not enough and you need more, you can download my list of 1,334 guest posting sites ABSOLUTELY FREE!

10 Ways To Get More Traffic To Your Blog

Building a blog has never been easier!
That’s the good news AND the bad news.
Platforms like WordPress, Joomla, and blogspot have made it possible for virtually anyone to be able to create and maintain a quality blog.
Unfortunately for those of us trying to make a living blogging; when things become easy, more and more people are willing to try them.
Competition is at an all-time high.
So, while building a blog has never been easier; building a successful blog which sees a significant amount of traffic has never been more difficult.
Make no mistake about it, there is no magic formula that will drive thousands of visitors to your blog overnight.
Earning more traffic takes persistence and consistency over a long period of time. However, by utilizing these 10 tactics, you can dramatically increase traffic to your blog over the months and years ahead.

1. Blog About Topics You’re Passionate About.
Generating more traffic takes time.
It could take a new blog a few years to reach the point where it has enough traffic to be profitable, or at least profitable enough to survive on.
Many, if not most, people will give up long before they reach that point.
If you have no real interest in the topics you’re writing about, chances are, you won’t continue blogging long enough to get the desired results.
The bloggers who become successful are the ones who continue to stick with it after everyone else has given up.
Writing about things you genuinely enjoy is a great way to stay motivated when things aren’t progressing quite as quickly as you would like.
Plus, if you’re truly passionate about a topic, that passion will almost certainly shine through in your content and the quality of your posts.

2. At The End Of The Day, It’s All About Your Content!
You can’t expect to get more traffic to your blog if people don’t want to read your material.
Even the best marketing strategies won’t be able to compensate for poor content. Publishing relevant, quality content is far and away the most important thing to focus on for traffic generation.

3. Post Updates To Your Blog Regularly.
Posting frequently will increase your blog’s visibility.
You should be adding new content to your blog at least twice per week.
Three times per week would be ideal, provided it doesn’t affect the quality of your content.
Fresh content posted consistently will attract more traffic.

4. Use Article Marketing To Gain Exposure.
Article marketing is a great way to bring targeted traffic to your blog.
Not only will you be leveraging the article directories existing traffic, but you will also be gaining an authority one way backlink to your blog.
There are many different article directories, but if your main goal is traffic generation, I recommend focusing on EzineArticles.com.
Google ranks their content highly, because they have an effective quality control system in place.
The two most important elements of your article are the title and the author resource box.
Create a title that entices readers to check out your article and be sure to include a strong call-to-action in the resource box.
Give your readers a good reason to click on the link to your blog.

5. Write Guest Posts For Other Blogs.
Guest blogging is one of the most effective ways to expose yourself to new audiences, gain quality backlinks, and drive tons of new traffic to your blog.
It’s also a fantastic way to establish yourself as an expert in your field and quickly build your industry profile.

To maximize the effectiveness of guest blogging, you will want to guest post for blogs whose target audience is interested in the type of content featured on your own blog.
You will also want to focus on writing for blogs that have a decent sized following, otherwise you might as well just post to your own blog.

If you need a great platform to find guest blogging opportunities or if you’re interested in finding guest bloggers for your blog, check out MyBlogGuest.com.

6. Promote Your Posts On Social Networks.
Developing a strong social presence has become essential for successful bloggers. You need to be sharing your content with the masses, and today the masses are gathering on social networks.
Once you are able to grow a following of loyal fans who enjoy your content; your fans will begin sharing your content for you, allowing you to reach a much larger audience.

Don’t expect your blog posts to go viral instantly.
Building a strong social media following is much like getting more traffic to your blog, it takes time.
Leveraging the power of social networks requires a consistent approach of interaction with your audience and building relationships with them.
You can’t just push your content and expect results.
You must be an active, engaging participant who shares the content of others as much as you do your own.
Social media will become a more powerful tool the longer you develop your influence.

7. Make Sure Your Posts Are SEO Optimized.
Search engines represent the greatest possible opportunity for traffic generation. Every bloggers goal should be a high organic ranking on the search engine results page.
Unfortunately, many bloggers ignore search engine optimization due to lack of knowledge on the subject.
Basic on-page SEO is fairly simple and easy to implement.
For more information on how to make your blog SEO-friendly, check out these great articles:

8. Do Your Keyword Research.
In the last section, we talked about the importance of SEO for generating more traffic.
One of the most important parts of the SEO process is determining the search terms your readers are typing into the search engines.
These are the words or phrases you should optimize your post to rank for.
The Google AdWords Keyword Tool is a free, easy-to-use tool that helps you figure out what your audience is searching for.
Simply type some keywords into the “word or phrase” field, click search, and the tool will show you phrases that relate to the terms you entered.
The key to effective keyword research is finding search terms that get a large amount of monthly searches with low competition.
Use the chosen phrase in the title of your blog post and make sure the rest of the content is related to that subject.
More Traffic

9. Leave A Comment On Other Blogs.
When done correctly, leaving comments on the blogs of other’s can be a good source of new traffic.
The important thing to remember here is to add value to the conversation.
Don’t spam people with invitations to read your blog, but instead, share your opinion and expertise on the topic at hand.
Establishing your own credibility will go a long way toward making others interested in what you have to say.
If your comments are interesting and insightful, it is likely your blog posts will be as well.
Be sure to register with the blogs commenting system to receive a link back to your blog, making it easy for others to click through to your content.

10. Include Your Blog’s URL Address Everywhere.
Make your blog as visible and accessible as possible.
Take advantage of any relevant opportunity you have to promote your blog’s address.
Here are a few great places to start:
  • Your Social Media Profiles
  • Your YouTube Videos
  • Your E-Mail Signature
  • Add A Watermark To Your Photos
  • Your Business Cards
What are some of your recommended ways to get more traffic? Please share your knowledge in the comments below!
