Add a Supercharger to Your Tweeting With 7 (Must-Have) Twitter Tools

twitter-tools
Twitter needs no formal introduction since the world already knows its prominence and potential.
What developed as a single-platform allowing users to type a micro-message (140-characters) and send simultaneously to hundreds of thousands of friends, has now evolved into a more streamline broadcasting channel.
It has even empowered the general populace to get in touch with their favourite celebrities, brands or idols without a formal appointment.
Nonetheless, twitter has also given a golden opportunity (more like a platform) to businesses allowing them to enhance their marketing endeavours and stack their sales and revenue.
However, it is not easy for savvy marketers to bring the best potential out of their tweets, unless they have the right tools.
Today, we are presenting you some of the most creative Twitter tools that’ll help you supercharge your tweets and make your twitter marketing more productive than ever.

1.    Bit.ly
bitly
Who doesn't know bit.ly – unless you are not a savvy twitterer? Basically, Bit.ly commenced its service as a URL shortener, i.e, allowing the user to shorten their URL and save more character space for effective tweeting.
However, in the recent years it has enhanced its dashboard to a greater extent providing more features to general users and marketers alike.
Now, with bit.ly you can also track the page views, clicks and engagements of your URL.
Moreover, you can also create your own, custom URL for effective brand exposure.
2.    Manage Flitter
manage-flitter
Enjoying over 1.6 Million users – still counting, Manage Flitter is a great tool that can help you monitor your tweets and your account more efficiently.
With this innovative service, you can easily keep tabs on both your followers and followings, with a single-tap.
In addition to that you can also monitor or un-follow users who are flooding your stream with spammy tweets.
You can now even link your Google+ account to your Twitter.
3.    Hoot Suite
Hoot-suite
Ah! HootSuite… Recently I've written a post on social media management tools, where I've already discussed the importance and brilliance of HootSuite.
However, I don’t mind doing it again – since it’s worth it.
Hootsuite  offers you an advance dashboard to manage all your social media accounts along with twitter. The best part about this tool is that it also provides you with a collaboration feature so that you can work on your social media marketing strategies with your partners or associates.
4.    Buffer
buffer
If you are too busy to keep your twitter account updated with latest tweets, then buffer is the best service for you.
Many at times, we stumble upon lots of interesting news and material that we want to share it with our followers.
However, we can’t do that due to the fear of spam or flooding.
Here, you can use the buffer tool to schedule your posts so that your twitter page is automatically updated throughout the day.
5.    Twitter Feed
twitterfeed
Twitterfeed is another highly-popular tool used by some of the prominent twitterers out there.
The tool allows you to share your RSS feed and automatically post it to your Twitter and other social media accounts like FB, G+ page, etc..
6.    Twitonomy
twitonomy
It is a great service that empowers you to dive into five months worth of twitter data which includes retweets, followers, etc.
The tool offers a rich dashboard where you can manage your tweets and other necessary nitty-gritty details with ease and efficiency.
Moreover, you can also track user engagement to see which content is more viral among your followers.
7.    Tweet Deck
tweet-deck

Owned by Twitter itself, Tweetdeck is a powerful tool that gives the ability to get more insight into your tweeting endeavours and keep tabs on page views and user engagement.
It is pretty nifty tool to get you started with managing not only your twitter account but other social media pages as well.
Experts suggest that tweetdeck is a must-have tool for purely savvy-users.

Congratulations! It’s a Blog. 5 Easy Steps To Getting Noticed

Blogging for profit
Congratulations! It’s a blog.

Whether you’re giving birth to your company’s first blog or relaunching one that went stagnant some time ago, you’re probably pretty excited.

Rightfully so, because you’re engaging in a powerful marketing tactic that can help boost your website’s SEO, bring visitors to your website, solidify relationships with current customers and convince prospects you’re the right company to meet their needs.

You also probably want to hurry up and tell the world about the great content your company is creating, but don’t move too fast. It’s better to take a strategic approach and get the most out of your new blog’s initial publicity push.

Hurry up and wait

You want to wait at least a month after starting a new blog to launch a big promotional push.

If you publicize a blog after just one or two posts, people who come to visit won’t have much to read and may assume that you are like many companies that start blogging then stop or only post sporadically.

If you wait a month or so, though, you’ll have eight to 12 posts, which will give visitors plenty to read and reason to stay on your site longer.

That number of posts will also demonstrate that you’re blogging consistently, so people will have reason to believe that if they come back again, there will be new content appearing on a regular basis.

Update your website

Your website designer probably made some adjustments to add a blog to your site, but before you make a major external publicity push, you should make sure you’re doing your best to promote your blog on your website.

Be sure the blog is featured prominently in your website’s navigation, include a widget to allow people to sign up for the blog’s RSS feed and consider adding a list of the most recent posts as a sidebar that appears
across your website’s pages.

Put out a press release

Yes, press releases are still relevant and beneficial these days.

What’s changed is how you write them; today’s press releases must serve double-duty as storytellers and SEO boosters.

Write your press release as a carefully crafted story designed for human readers — while including relevant keywords, links and an image, such as your company’s logo.

And don’t forget to include a call to action.

Announce it via e-mail

Your company should be sending out a regular e-mail newsletter to customers, prospects and other audience members.

E-mail is a great vehicle for sharing the news of your new blog and featuring some of its best posts.

Include a summary of each post you want to feature along with a link and a call to learn more by reading the full post.

If you don’t send out an email newsletter, now is a good time to start.

A regularly-updated blog will fuel your email newsletter with content.

Share it with your social circles

Social SitesAnnouncing your business’ new blog via social media is a great way to get people to read and share your posts.

When you start your big publicity push, write posts announcing you have a blog and sharing the posts you’ve already published.

Don’t abandon posting other material on your social channels, though. You won’t gain as much traction if everything you post is about yourself and what you’ve done.

When you’re considering which social channels are best for your company, don’t forget about our favorite SEO driver, Google+. Google+ plays a significant role in how Google views your company as a content creator and ranks your website.

If your company doesn’t have a Google+ page yet, you need to get one and post everything you publish on it.

Google+ gets translation function built in

Google+ translation
Google+ translation is highlighted in this picture from Ed Chi
Google has announced they will implement a translation function into Google+ posts, allowing you to easily translate those which aren’t in your native tongue.

The same functionality was available via a Chrome extension, but will now be part of the social media service itself.

Googler Ed Chi announced the update via a (where else?) Google+ post, along with the above picture, highlighting the change.

From his post:
The Google Translate team is always working to make information more accessible to individuals around the world. In Google+ this means bringing people together regardless of their written language, and breaking down language barriers that can limit the exchange of ideas.
Ed Chi
This is another change it what seems to be a rapid-fire acceleration of the Google+ service.

After announcing 41 changes at I/O, the Google+ team went on to revamp the Android app a few times. This was all congruent to the overhaul for photos, bringing a bevy of changes like autoawesome and the touching up of pictures.

The translation function will be rolling out incrementally, so look for it in your stream.

Google announces “Helpouts,” a help-for-cash video chat service

Google has quietly launched a website for "Google Helpouts," a new p2p video chat helpline service.
Anyone can sign up to receive or provide help, and providers can make money off chat sessions.

While Helpouts has yet to launch, a good deal of information can be gained from the support site.

Anyone can sign up to provide help; just enter in your skills, availability, qualifications, and pricing, and Google will match you with people in need of your assistance.

You can even include an introductory video of the services you'll be providing.

Once you're all set up, customers can schedule a video chat session during your available hours.

Of course, the service requires a Google+ account.
If you choose to charge someone for your time, payments will be handled by Google Wallet,
and Google will take a 20 percent cut.

The support pages confirm support for desktop browsers, Android, and iOS,
and Google is promising a 100 percent money back guarantee for unhappy customers.

The setup for some helpout listings can be pretty elaborate.

This page shows that you can style your helpouts like a structured course, including any preparation or materials the person might need before starting.

Google even has a process in place to verify medical certificates and licences.

If this at all sounds interesting to you, head on over to helpouts.google.com and request an invite.

If you manage to get in, send me some screenshots.

Thanks to Craig Tumblison for the tip.

100 Sites To Submit Guest Posts

All of the guidance and hype around blogging for the last several months has focused on Guest Posting and how it can be used to drive a high traffic blog.

Guest posting helps with referral traffic as well as search engine optimization due to the links back to your site from the blog where your guest post is hosted.

The biggest mistake that is being made is that everyone thinks they are going to get their post on one of the A-list sites, therefore a lot of time and effort is wasted as these sites turn down over 90% of guest post submission request.

Must bloggers that do not have a high traffic site and something they can reciprocate to the A-list site should find other sites closer in size to their own as guest post targets.

This will help each site grow together and has a higher likelihood of being accepted than just submitting to the top sites.

I have compiled a quick list of sites that would be good targets for guest posts.
These sites are in a variety of categories and vary in size, but all have setup a page on their site for guest posting submissions which means they are open to it which a huge time saver in itself.
You can also find sites to submit to using the guest blogging community
If you have any additional sites that are good for guest posting, please share them in the comments.
If 100 is not enough and you need more, you can download my list of 1,334 guest posting sites ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Retweet Or Favourite? One Is Better Than The Other

Over the years, the popular life, mind and purely obscure 140-character or less casting site Twitter has continued to evolve.
First, it all started as just a "text it to the internet" site in the age before "smart" smart phones.
Around 2009-2010, Twitter became a popular app that made it easier for people to let us know how their sandwich was or how great of workout they just had, even when we did not want to hear about it.
During that time people were more apt to reply to a tweet or retweet it just to show how much they may have, or may not have, cared.
Then, in the past year or so, Twitter released a new feature: favouriting.
In today's fast paced world, sometimes, favouriting a tweet just seems easier some days.
All you have to do is click on the little "star" icon and you are on your way.
What good does it do, though? No one else, aside from the tweeter, can see that you have favourited their tweet.
You don't open it up for your followers for them to send it out to theirs and so on and so forth.
It kills a tweet. It drops down like a rock in a pond. If it is not seen by the original persons followers right away, then what good does a "favorite" end up doing
So then what is the best choice: reply or retweet? Well, truthfully, a retweet not only boosts the original tweeters presence on Twitter, but it also has the chance of boosting your presence as well.
A retweet can do so many different things.
First, it can show emotion in the form of happiness because the tweet in question may have made you laugh, smile or just feel like someone else could benefit from seeing it.
Second, it can help a growing business grow faster.
When someone retweets a link, it creates the link-back to the webpage that was originally tweeted.
Lastly, it gives you a better chance of gaining more followers that you didn't know or couldn't find prior.
A retweet is like getting your work up on the bulletin board back in grade school.
It is there for everyone to see when they pass by it, even if they don't actually know you.
A favorite is literally the gold star. You know it is there, but no one else does. You care that you may have gotten one, but no one else does.
So what about reply's? What purpose do they serve in the whole scheme of Twitter?
Truthfully, they serve as the direct connection between a tweeter and a tweetee.
You can "personally" give praise for something or ask a question without negative ramifications.
If you did not completely love what the tweet said, you can just reply and in the conversation thread, people can still find the link, giving the original tweet its due.
It doesn't work the same way as a retweet, but can have similar effects.
Overall, Twitter is controlled by the user.
They decide whether or not they want to do any of these three things.
As an avid Twitter user though, it should be urged that people retweet links more than anything else.
Help your fellow tweeter's out and retweet their news to your followers.
Even if they don't all want that info, you are still giving others the choice to follow the link or not.
So get out there and tweet away. There's only 140 characters to get your thought out there.

Create A Meaningful Tweet In Under 120 Characters

Most people use the popular sharing site Twitter for personal reasons.
Whether it be they really want people to see this new picture of their cat or they thought of something funny that they wanted everyone to know.
It differs from person to person, obviously.
The biggest problem that people run into, though, is that they can't always think of a way to condense what they are thinking down to 140 characters, let alone to even less.

So, how do you get your joke, funny thought, thoughtful thought, or just plain idea out to the masses without breaking the Twitter bank? Simple:

1. Type out exactly what you are thinking, word for word, as many characters as possible.

2. Let what you just put down on the mobile app, Tweet Deck, Hootsuite or whichever application you are using, sit for a minute. It's just like writing a paper. The more you let something soak in, the better you are able to remove "unneeded" information.

3. Read what you typed out loud. It seems crazy, especially if you are in public, but it lets you hear what you typed out, out loud, most likely in the same voice that those reading it will hear.

4. Find the main message. For example: "I just went outside to check on my flowers, only to find a hoard of rabbits feasting on what I had just worked on for four hours on my only Saturday off." This is bad example, but just wait. The message is clearly the fact that you went out to see the fruits of your labor, only to be disappointed by the site of rabbits eating them.

5. Now that you have the message, start taking out what you don't need.
Ex.: "Went outside to check my flowers. Found a hoard of rabbits feasting, making my lost Saturday even darker." That post leaves you with 36 characters.
Just by taking out singular pronouns and filler, you go from untweetable, to heartbreaking tweet.

6. Finally, go over it one last time. A misspelled or dropped word can send a tweet into a spiral that it can't get out of, especially if you don't catch it after hitting send. Editing a tweet can either make or break whether your followers will care, or if they will just think you don't pay attention.
Twitter isn't difficult by any stretch, but it can sometimes be daunting. By following these six steps (you can add more if you'd like), you can make your tweets enjoyable to your followers while making you feel better for lost days off.

Whatever the case may be, don't be afraid to tweet your mind.
Sometimes, you may come up with something that you never thought possible, and something that your followers retweet you extensively for.

Write a Feature Article To Get More Exposure To Your Website

Article writing is a great way to showcase your talents and expertise.
If you want to make a name for yourself and brand yourself as an expert in your niche, then articles are a great way to allow the reader to see just how much you know about your niche.

Writing an article can get you some credibility, but writing a feature article puts you a bit higher on the credibility scale.

A feature article is an article that is showcased in a newsletter or on a website.

It is an article that is considered valuable to it’s readers and goes into a bit more depth that a typical 450 to 500 word article.

Featured articles can be anywhere from 650 to 1000 words long and are definitely high quality.

Featured articles aren't sales letters, or a spammy keyword-stuffed stream of consciousness to get better search engine rankings.

Featured articles solve a problem common in your niche, answer frequently asked questions, or provide a different way of looking at the something in your target niche.

The best way to write one of these articles is to see what are some of the common questions people have in your target niche.

You can find these questions from going to a forum in your niche, one of the groups in Yahoo or Google, or you could even put up a survey form on your site and see what kinds of questions visitors leave on your site.

The last way of getting questions is the most powerful because you can really target your feature article to your site in the resource box of the article.

Once you have your article, you will want to get it featured in some sort of online publication.

You have a choice of having it featured on a website, or in a newsletter.
If you want your article featured in a newsletter, you will have a better chance approaching the publisher of the newsletter that is targeted to the audience in your niche.

You can go to many of the newsletter directories and see which ones take article submissions and then approach them.

You will increase your chances if you sign up for their newsletter first so you can get a good understanding of how their newsletter is structured, and what kind of articles they publish in their newsletter.

It will also give you something to talk to the publisher about in regards to their newsletter.

What did you like about the article? What didn't you like? This will prove you are there for more than just a “what can you give me” mentality.

If you have some other articles that have been published in other newsletters, you can share this information with the publisher as well.

If you are looking to have your article featured on a website in your niche, a good way to find websites is to do a search for them in the search engines. Doing the following search string will give you a list of websites that publish featured articles: "<<niche>>" +"featured articles". You can then go to the websites and see if they publish articles from other authors.

Once you find a website, you can take a similar approach of the Webmaster that you did with the publisher.

You would share with them what you liked about their website and ask them if they would like to publish any of your articles.

If you present your request in a way that will show the webmaster the benefit they will get out of publishing your article on their website, you will increase your chances of having your article published.

Having your articles featured on a website or in a newsletter, you give you additional credibility in your niche.

Featured articles should be high quality and provide value to the visitor of the website or subscriber of the newsletter.

The style of approach you take with the Webmaster or publisher also makes a difference in whether or not you can get your articles featured.

You can easily learn how to write effective articles that will create revenue for your business and will also send more traffic to your website.

It's easier than you might think when you have a system.
