
The same functionality was available via a Chrome extension, but will now be part of the social media service itself.
Googler Ed Chi announced the update via a (where else?) Google+ post, along with the above picture, highlighting the change.

The Google Translate team is always working to make information more accessible to individuals around the world. In Google+ this means bringing people together regardless of their written language, and breaking down language barriers that can limit the exchange of ideas.This is another change it what seems to be a rapid-fire acceleration of the Google+ service.

After announcing 41 changes at I/O, the Google+ team went on to revamp the Android app a few times.
This was all congruent to the overhaul for photos, bringing a bevy of changes like autoawesome and the touching up of pictures.
The translation function will be rolling out incrementally, so look for it in your stream.
